Solution:

Let x be the length of the train,
Speed = 90 kmph = 90*(5/18) = 25 m/s
Distance = Speed*time
x+600 = 25*(56) = 1400
x = 1400 – 600 = 800m
So the answer is option D.

Find the distance covered by a boat in 30 mins during downstream, if its speed in still water is 7 kmph and speed of the stream is 5 kmph ?
