Solution

Each number is multiplied by 3 and then 8 is subtracted from it.

7 $$\times 3 - 8$$ = 13

13 $$\times 3 - 8$$ = 31

31 $$\times 3 - 8$$ = 85

85 $$\times 3 - 8$$ = 247

247 $$\times 3 - 8$$ = 733
