To get good marks, you can first look for the most questions and then start focusing on them. Know that the secret to scoring well in Quantitative Aptitude is accuracy and time management. Let’s take a look at the approach that can be used to plan for the Quant segment subject by topic:
1. Mensuration/Geometry
This is one of the most relevant subjects for SSC CGL Tier 1 since the amount of questions asked from this topic has grown over time. The degree of complexity has also increased.
All of the essential theorems, the Pythagoras triplet, and all of the formulas for the field of triangles and circles must be remembered for Geometry. To get a short answer, make sure to draw figures accurately. To do well in this section, you must have a clear understanding of the fundamentals.
2. Algebra/Trigonometry/Height and Distance
Specific formulas for triangles, squares, trigonometric ratios, and identities are used in algebra. Questions from this segment can be replicated, but you can review the previous year’s papers. Algebra can be used to answer 2-3 questions. Make sure you finish these questions in the shortest amount of time possible. If you can’t think of a way to answer all of the questions, try solving a few from the options provided. Algebra, Trigonometry, and Height and Distance can be used. Ask 5-6 questions from them.

3. Ratio/Percentage/profit, Loss and Discount
To solve problems quickly, you must recall all fractional values up to 30 in percentage terms. C.P., S.P., M.P., & Discount are the four words that make up profit, loss, and discount. Understand the terms C.P., S.P., MP, and the discount given on M.P., as well as the relationship between them. Benefit, expense, and discount are built based on essential percentage and ratio concepts. As far as possible, practise from the Mocks tests and Previous Papers. It will assist you in efficiently and correctly answering the questions.
4. Time speed and distance/ Train/ Boats & Streams
inverse and direct relations between time, speed, and distance can be extremely useful. The definition of relative velocity can assist you in solving train, boat, and stream issues. All of these subjects are based on the same idea. These questions, such as the gun and bullet problem, the train accident problems, and the effect of increasing/decreasing speed on time, are often questioned in examinations. From these topics, 3-4 questions can be asked in the exam.

5. Time and Work/pipes and Cistern
The LCM approach can solve time and work problems, saving a lot of time in the process. Alternate work, efficiency, and work and wages are also critical topics to discuss. Be sure to come up with your methods for answering these questions.
6. Data Interpretation
SSC CGL considers DI to be a more straightforward problem than the others. Taking no issue or subject lightly, as the exam will be full of surprises, you must be prepared for what can occur.
