Question 1:Â If the letters from T to Z are interchanged in opposite direction by the letter A to G in such way that A takes the positions of T and so on ,then which will be the third letter to the right of 18th letter from left?

a)Â Y

Solution:

3rd letter to the right of 18th letter from left.

= (18 + 3) = 21st letter from left = U

In the changed sequence, TUVWXYZ changes to ABCDEFG, hence B comes in place of U.

Question 2:Â If first 6 letters shall be written in opposite order,then next 6 letters shall be written in opposite direction.At the end Y will be interchanged by Z then which will be the fourth letter to the left of 13th letter from right?

Solution:

4th to the left of 13th from right.

= (13 + 4) = 17th from right = 10th from left = J

Now, in the changed sequence, GHIJKL becomes LKJIHG. Thus I takes the place of J.

The pattern followed in each letter of the terms isÂ :

Solution:

The first three letters of the word are reversed. Thus PENCIL becomes NEPCIL.

Word = MORTIFY

Vowels are replaced by previous letters, i.e. A is replaced by Z , EÂ is replaced by D , I is replaced by H and so on.

New word = NNSUHFZ

4th letter from right end = U
