Country and National Sports List for General Knowledge
Any sport or game can be declared as a country’s national game or sports, either because of its popularity or because of its historical ties to that country. Before we go any further, did you know… What is India’s national sport? Say it out loud “hockey!” Hockey was considered the country’s national sport due to its golden era period from 1928 to 1956 when India won six consecutive gold medals in the Olympic games, however, the Ministry of Sports Affairs has said that it has not proclaimed any sports to be the country’s national sports.
As a result, applicants studying for numerous examinations should be familiar with the national sports of many nations. Candidates will be given a list of key games from their country’s national sports, as well as a list of their important sports of that country.
