1) Answer (C)

Arranging them in the ascending order we have
1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,3,4,4,4,5,5
Median=middle value i.e average of 2 and 2 i. e 2
Mode=highest frequency number i.e 2
Range=highest-least value=5-1=4
Average=(2+2+4)/3
=$2\frac{2}{3}$

2) Answer (D)

Given : $\left(\frac{7}{8}\div5\frac{1}{4}\times7\frac{1}{5}-\frac{3}{20}of\frac{2}{3}\right)\div\frac{1}{2}+\left(\frac{3}{5}\times7\frac{1}{2}+\frac{2}{3}\div\frac{8}{15}\right)=7+k$

L.H.S. = $\left(\frac{7}{8}\div5\frac{1}{4}\times7\frac{1}{5}-\frac{3}{20}of\frac{2}{3}\right)\div\frac{1}{2}+\left(\frac{3}{5}\times7\frac{1}{2}+\frac{2}{3}\div\frac{8}{15}\right)$

= $\left(\frac{7}{8}\div\frac{21}{4}\times\frac{36}{5}-\frac{1}{10}\right)\div\frac{1}{2}+\left(\frac{3}{5}\times\frac{15}{2}+\frac{2}{3}\div\frac{8}{15}\right)$

= $\left(\frac{7}{8}\times\frac{4}{21}\times\frac{36}{5}-\frac{1}{10}\right)\div\frac{1}{2}+\left(\frac{3}{5}\times\frac{15}{2}+\frac{2}{3}\times\frac{15}{8}\right)$

= $[(\frac{6}{5}-\frac{1}{10})\times2]+\frac{9}{2}+\frac{5}{4}$

= $\frac{11}{5}+\frac{9}{2}+\frac{5}{4}$

= $\frac{44+90+25}{20}=\frac{159}{20}=7+\frac{19}{20}$

Comparing both sides, we get : $k=\frac{19}{20}$

=> Ans – (D)

Following BODMAS ,

$2 \times 3 \div 2 of 3 \times 2 \div (4 + 4 \times 4 \div 4 of 4 – 4 \div 4 \times 4) $

= $2 \times 3 \div 6 \times 2 \div (4 + 4 \times 4 \div 16 – 4 \div 4 \times 4) $

= $2 \times  \frac{1}{2} \times 2 \div (4 + 4 \times \frac{1}{4} – 4 \div 4 \times 4) $

= $2 \div (4 + 1 – 1 \times 4) $

= $2 \div (5 – 4) $

=2

So , the answer would be option d) 2.

$\frac{9}{15} of \left(\frac{2}{3} \div \frac{2}{3} of \frac{3}{2}\right) \div \left(\frac{3}{4} \times \frac{3}{4} \div \frac{3}{4} of \frac{4} {3}\right) of \left(\frac{5}{4} \div \frac{5}{2} \times \frac{2}{5} of \frac{4}{5}\right)$

We know that “of” can be replace by multiply,

$\Rightarrow \frac{9}{15} of \left(\frac{2}{3} \div 1 \right) \div \left(\frac{3}{4} \times \frac{3}{4} \div 1 \right) of \left(\frac{5}{4} \div \frac{5}{2} \times \frac{8}{25} \right)$

Now, solving small brakets,

$\Rightarrow \frac{9}{15} of \left(\frac{2}{3} \right) \div \left(\frac{9}{16} \right) of \left(\frac{10}{20} \times \frac{8}{25} \right)$

$\Rightarrow \frac{9}{15} of \left(\frac{2}{3} \right) \div \left(\frac{9}{16} \right) of \left(\frac{4}{25} \right)$

$\Rightarrow \dfrac{\frac{18}{45}}{ \left(\frac{9}{100} \right) }$

$\Rightarrow \frac{18\times 100}{45\times 9}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{2\times 20}{9}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{40}{9}$

According to Bodmas rule, if an expression contains brackets ((), {}, []) we have to first solve or simplify the bracket followed by of (powers and roots etc.), then division, multiplication, addition and subtraction from left to right.

$\frac{18.43^{2}-6.57^{2}}{11.86^{2}}$

$\frac{(18.43+6.57)(18.43 – 6.57)}{11.86}$
