Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released 2018-19 notification for 1601 Junior Engineer Vacancies. SSC will conduct an open competitive exam for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (SSC JE) Group ‘B’ Post in the field of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts for various Departments/Organizations. The Online application for SSC JE started from 1st Feb 2019 and the last date to apply is 25th Feb 2019. As per the SSC Exam calendar, SSC JE Tier-1 exam for the year 2018 will be conducted from 23rd Sep 2019 to 27th Sep 2019. Candidates can apply online on the official site https://ssc.nic.in/

The total number of vacancies for JE 2018Â is 1601 in departments. SSC conducts JE exam for recruitment of posts in various departments like Central Water Commission (CWC), Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Military Engineering Services (MES), Border Road Organisation and several and several India posts.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2018:
SSC JE Age Limit
The minimum age limit is required to be eligible for SSC JE.
Minimum Age: 18 yrs
Maximum Age: 32 yrs
Maximum age limit is different for different posts. The age limit for JE CWS & CPWD is 32 yrs, JE MES is 30 yrs, and JE for Surveying and contract is 27 yrs.
Age relaxation is applicable for candidates from different categories as follows:

The online Application fee for SSC JE are as follows:
- General Category: Rs.100/-
- SC, ST, OH, Ex-servicemen: No fee
Candidates can pay application fee either through Online or Offline. Last day to apply online is 25th Feb and through offline challan is 27th Feb 2019.
SSC JE Exam Pattern:
SSC JE Exam is conducted in two papers.
Paper- 1: paper- 1 is an online Based exam contains objective type questions for 200 marks.
Paper- 2: Paper- 2 is a descriptive exam and is conducted offline. Max marks is 300.
The maximum time for both paper- 1 & paper- 2 is 2 hrs.
