SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2019:
SSC MTS recruitment is conducted in two levels:
Paper 1: Computer Based Examination.
Paper 2: Descriptive paper.
Candidates need to qualify both the papers, paper 1 and 2 to be selected finally. Candidates scoring minimum marks qualifying marks in paper 1 will be shortlisted for paper 2.
Final selection of candidates will be done based on merit in paper 1 only, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in paper 2.
SSC MTS Paper 1 Exam Pattern:
- Objective type online exam
- Negative marking: 0.25
- No sectional cut off

SSC MTS Paper 2 Exam Pattern:
Max marks: 50
Time Duration: 30 mins
SSC MTS paper 2 is a descriptive type exam. Candidates need to write an Essay or Letter writing in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the constitution. Paper 2 is of qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify paper 1 will be eligible for paper 2.
SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria:
Educational qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10th/matriculation from recognised board/university.
Age Limit:
As on 01-08-2019:
Minimum Age Limit: 18 yrs
Maximum Age Limit: 25 yrs
(candidates born not before 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2001)
For some other posts:
Minimum Age Limit: 18 yrs
Maximum Age Limit: 27 yrs
(candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001)
Age relaxation is applicable for candidates for different categories as follows:

SSC MTS 2019 Vacancies:
The number of vacancies are not specified yet and will be announced later. In SSC MTS 2017, 10674 vacancies were declared.
SSC MTS Application Fees:
Application fees is 100 rupees.
For Women, SC, ST, PwD & Ex-service men there is no application fees.

- First, candidates need to register on the SSC website.
- After registration, candidates can apply by logging in to the website using their registration number and password.
- Click on the Apply tab and choose “others” and then click on SSC MTS.
- Fill the application form with required details.
- Upload scanned photograph and signature.
- Print and save the application form for future reference.
