SSC CGL 2020 Selection Process- Tier-I, II, III, IV Procedure & Exam Pattern
Staff Selection Commission CGL 2020 Selection Process – SSC CGL 2020 selection process comprises tier-I, tier-II, Tier-III (descriptive paper) and skill test stages. Candidates who qualify for the Staff Selection Commission tier 1 exam will be called for the tier 2 exam. As per the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination 2020 selection process, the final selection will be based on normalised marks in Tier-I and Tier-II exam. SSC CGL Tier-I Selection Process 2020
Candidates/Aspirants who applied for the SSC CGL recruitment will be called for the Tier-I examination. SSC CGL tier 1 comprises 100 questions for 200 marks. As per the SSC CGL exam pattern 2020, candidates will be awarded two marks for every correct answer & there is a negative marking in SSC CGL Tier-I Exam. 0.5 marks will be deducted from every question attempted wrong by a candidate in all the sections. The SSC CGL Tier-I exam questions will be called from English Language, General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates who qualify for the SSC CGL 2020 tier 1 will be called for the tier 2 exam later. Applicants can also check the previous year SSC CGL question paper 2020 for their adequate preparation.Â
- The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped and suffering from Cerebral Palsy.

SSC CGL Tier-II Selection Process 2020
Candidates/Aspirants who clear the Tier-I exam will be called for the tier 2 exam of the SSC CGL 2020 selection process. SSC CGL Tier-II exam will be conducted in online mode. According to the SSC CGL exam pattern, the tier 2 exam comprises four papers. English language & comprehension, and Quantitative Ability are compulsory for all candidates. Candidates from an economics background also need to appear for General Studies (Finance & Economics) and Statistics paper. Candidates will be awarded two marks for every correct answer in the SSC CGL Tier-II Exam, while for the English paper, candidates will be awarded one mark for each question.

SSC CGL 2020 Tier –2 Exam Pattern:

SSC CGL Tier-III Selection Process 2020
Candidates/Aspirants who cleared the Tier-I exam will be called for the Tier-II and Tier-III Exams. SSC CGL Tier-III exam will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates appearing for SSC CGL 2020 Tier-III exam have to write an essay/letter/precise/application in the preferred language. SSC CGL Tier-III exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score a minimum of 33% marks in the SSC CGL Tier-III exam.

SSC CGL Tier-IV Selection Process 2020 (Skill-Test)
Shortlisted candidates based on Tier-II and Tier-III (descriptive paper) will be called for the skill test. SSC CGL skill test comprises Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). SSC CGL CPT is conducted for candidates who applied for some of the posts – Assistant Section Officer of CSS, Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under Ministry of Corporate Affairs & Assistant the Ministry of Mines posts. SSC CGL DEST is conducted for the position of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax). As per the SSC CGL 2020 selection process, the tier-iv exam will be the final stage for recruitment.
