Answers & Solutions:
1) Answer (B)
Second to right of E is G.
2) Answer (D)
K is the professor.
3) Answer (C)
Except J and Engineer, all the other pairs are opposite to each other.
Therefore J and Engineer is the answer
4) Answer (B)
Second to the right of scientist is L.
5) Answer (A)
According to the figure, only option 1, which says that the lawyer is second to the left of doctor, is correct.
6) Answer (D)
We start by placing M. To find people to one’s right, we move in the anti-clockwise direction and for left in the clockwise direction. With M placed, we can place B. Four places to the left or right will essentially be opposite spot. Hence, we can place K. We can place P with respect to B and W from P. Only three spots remain, so they must be arranged between H-D-Q as shown below.
Hence, H is third to the right of B.
7) Answer (E)
We start by placing M. To find people to one’s right, we move in the anti-clockwise direction and for left in the clockwise direction. With M placed, we can place B. Four places to the left or right will essentially be opposite spot. Hence, we can place K. We can place P with respect to B and W from P. Only three spots remain, so they must be arranged between H-D-Q as shown below.
Hence, PK are immediate neighbours of D.
8) Answer (B)
We start by placing M. To find people to one’s right, we move in the anti-clockwise direction and for left in the clockwise direction. With M placed, we can place B. Four places to the left or right will essentially be opposite spot. Hence, we can place K. We can place P with respect to B and W from P. Only three spots remain, so they must be arranged between H-D-Q as shown below.
D is third to the right of W.

9) Answer (C)
We start by placing M. To find people to one’s right, we move in the anti-clockwise direction and for left in the clockwise direction. With M placed, we can place B. Four places to the left or right will essentially be opposite spot. Hence, we can place K. We can place P with respect to B and W from P. Only three spots remain, so they must be arranged between H-D-Q as shown below.
K is second to the left of P
10) Answer (A)
We start by placing M.
Hence, Q is to the immediate left of B.
11) Answer (D)
Since one of S and Q sit at the extreme, Q has to sit at the right end and S three places to the right of him. Now that Q is fixed, we can place E as shown in the figure. B and F can’t be at extreme and 2 people are sitting between them. Also, B faces the person who sits third to left of P. Thus, B, F and P can only be placed as shown in the figure. Now C sits second to the left of A. So, C is at the extreme and A second to the right of him. This means D is at the rightmost corner. So, R must sit adjacent to Q and T adjacent to R. The arrangement is as shown below-
P and D sit at extreme ends of the rows
12) Answer (D)
From the first three conditions, two solns are possible
S _ _ Q _ _
_ E _ _ _ _
or
_ _ S _ _ Q
_ _ _ E _ _
As B and F have two people between them and neither are at the extremes, they must by in the second and fifth place. Hence, we can rule out configuration 1.
From the 6th condition, B should be fifth from left and F second.
Thus, we get
P _ S _ _ Q
_ F _ E B _
As C is second to the left of A, C must be first from left and A third. Hence, D is last from left. Thus, we can place all the people as follows
$\downarrow$ P V S T R Q
$\uparrow$ C F A E B D
Hence, P and D are at extreme ends.
13) Answer (A)
From the first three conditions, two solns are possible
S _ _ Q _ _
_ E _ _ _ _
or
_ _ S _ _ Q
Hence, it is evident that S faces A. Option A is correct.
14) Answer (B)
From the first three conditions, two solns are possible
S _ _ Q _ _
_ E _ _ _ _
or
_ _ S _ _ Q
_ _ _ E _ _
As B and F have two people between them and neither are at the extremes, they must by in the second and fifth place. Hence, we can rule out configuration 1.

P _ S _ _ Q
_ F _ E B _
As C is second to the left of A, C must be first from left and A third. Hence, D is last from left. Thus, we can place all the people as follows
$\downarrow$ P V S T R Q
$\uparrow$ C F A E B D
Two persons are seated between V and R.
Option B is correct option.
15) Answer (B)
In the given arrangement, A is two places right of C which faces P.
B is two places to the right of A which faces S.
D is two places to the right of E which faces T.
Hence, the option correct option is B.
