SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern:
SBI PO Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) with a total time duration 60 Minutes. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. There will be no sectional cut-off. The Number candidates selected in prelims approximately 10 times more than the number of vacancies.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern:
SBI PO Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks.
Objective Test Pattern:
The duration of the objective test is 3 hours and it consists of 4 Sections(English Language, Banking Awareness, Data Analysis & Computer Aptitude  ) of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. In Mains Exam no sectional cut-off.

Descriptive Test:
The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer. The duration of the Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks. The Number candidates selected in prelims approximately 3 times more than the number of vacancies.
SBI PO Reasoning Sectional Tests
SBI PO Interview:
Candidates qualified in the main exam will be called for the interview merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Phase-II (Main Exam). In Phase 3 of the selection process, there will be a Group Exercises for 20 Marks and an Interview for 30 Marks.
Final Selection Process:
- Preliminary Examination marks will not be considered for preparing the fine selected candidates list.
- The marks obtained Main Examination, both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview for preparing the final merit list.
- The candidates need to qualify in the Main Examination and Interview.
- The Main Examination (Phase-II) of 250 marks will be converted to 75 marks and Interview (Phase-III) marks will be converted to 25 marks.
- The final merit list will be prepared based on category and after aggregating converted marks of Phase-II and Phase-III out of 100
