7) Answer (A)

8) Answer (C)

9) Answer (C)

Following is the correct order of words as found in dictionary-
Unkempt, unkind, unknown, unlamented, unlawful
Thus the order would be 4, 2, 1, 5, 3
Hence, option C is the right answer.

10) Answer (B)

Paddle and Panigale are the first 2 terms. These 2 terms must be followed by Penultimate and Perch in that order. Plural must be the last term.

The correct order is Paddle, Panigale, Penultimate, Perch and Plural.
5, 2, 3, 4, 1 is the correct order. Therefore, option B is the right answer.

11) Answer (A)

The order in which these words will appear in a dictionary:
3. nefarious
1. nemesis
2. neology
4. neonatology

12) Answer (C)

The order in which these words will appear in a dictionary:
4. pedagogy
2. pedantic
3. pedestrian
1. pediatrics

13) Answer (A)

6*3 – 4 = 14
8*5 – 18 = 22
9*4 – ? = 19
? = 17
Hence, option A is the right choice.

14) Answer (A)

Let present age of A = $5x$ years and B = $6x$ years

According to ques,

=> $\frac{5x+7}{6x+7}=\frac{6}{7}$

=> $35x+49=36x+42$

=> $36x-35x=49-42$

=> $x=7$

$\therefore$ Present age of A = $5\times7=35$ years

=> Ans – (A)

15) Answer (B)

Let present age of husband, wife and child be $h,w,c$ years respectively.

Average age of husband, wife and their child 3 years ago = 27 years

=> Total present ages of husband, wife and their child = $(27+3)\times3$

=> $h+w+c=90$ ———(i)

Similarly, present age of wife and the child = $(20+5)\times2$

=> $w+c=50$

Subtracting equation (ii) from (i), we get :

=> $h=90-50=40$

$\therefore$ The present age of the husband = 40 years

=> Ans – (B)

16) Answer (A)

Let the present age of Monu and Sonu be ‘x’ and ‘y’ respectively.
So, x:y = 13:11
It is given that,
$\frac{x+4}{y-4} = \frac{5}{3}$
3x + 12 = 5y – 20
3x-5y = -32
3*$\frac{13y}{11}$ – 5y = -32
-16y = -32*11
y = 22
So, x = 26
Thus, y-x = – 22 + 26 = 4 years
Hence, option A is the right answer.

17) Answer (B)

Let’s say son’s age is $x$
hence father’s present age will be $3x$
after 15 years son’s age will be $x+15$ and father’s age will be $3x+15$ and it is twice the age of son
so $3x+15$ = 2 ($x+15$)
solve for $x$

18) Answer (B)

Expression : BRDBDBDBD, BDBRDBDBD, BDBDBRDBD, _______________.

The above series is a combination of 4 ‘BD’, also there is an ‘R’ in each term starting from second position from left side and shifting two place to the right in each term.

Thus, in the missing term, ‘R’ will be at last but one position = BDBDBDBRD

19) Answer (A)

Expression : Oracle, Topper, Propel,Priority, Tripod, ?
The position of the letter ‘o’ in each term is shifted one place to the right.

Eg : Oracle (1st place) , Topper (2nd place) , Propel (3rd place) , Priority(4th place), Tripod (5th place)
Thus, in the next term, ‘o’ will be at 6th position, and among the options, next word = Symphony

20) Answer (A)

In this series 4 alphabets are in order but the trend is that in each case next term is obtained by leaving 3 alphabets between them and so after ABCD next term starts with H by leaving E,F,G and so after OPQR we should leave S,T,U and start with VWXY.
