How to crack SSC CGL 2020 in the first attempt?
Knowing the exam pattern is more or less for cracking it. Therefore, before learning how to crack Exam SSC CGL 2020 in the first attempt, let us briefly overview the exam pattern. SSC conducts the exam in four tiers. The Tier-1 exam consists of 4 sections – English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, & General Knowledge/ General Awareness. Each section carries 25 questions – 2 marks for each question. There are no sectional time limit or sectional cut-off. The scores of the SSC CGL tier-1 exam are used till the final selection of the exam.
The tier-2 exam consists of a quantitative aptitude paper (100 questions of 2 marks each) and an English language paper (200 questions of 1 mark each). Apart from these two papers, aspirants opting for AAO & AO posts must take paper 4 (general studies like finance and economics), & aspirants opting for JSO posts should take paper-3 (Statistics). Most aspirants take the tier 1 exam lightly, believing that they can claw back the marks in the tier-2 exam. However, it puts so much pressure to do well in the tier-2 exam. Also, having some buffer will put aspirants at ease while attempting the tier-2 exam. SSC CGL Selection Process 2020-21
- SSC CGL 2020 is divided into four stages, i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II, Tier-III, and Tier-IV.
- Candidates who qualify in Tier-I will be eligible to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III.
- Candidates who qualify in Tier-I, II, and III, will be eligible to appear in Tier-IV
- The final merit list of SSC CGL will be based on overall cumulative marks of Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III.
- Tier-IV is qualifying and mandatory for CSS / MEA / Tax Assistant Posts.
