SSC CPO 2021 Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern
SSC CPO is Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organisation. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the test to appoint applicants for the position of Sub-inspector (SI) of Police. The exam is held on a national level for SI positions in various police organisations such as ITBP, BSF, CRPF, and SI in Delhi Police, among others. The CPO test is one of the government agencies under which the SSC administers the induction examination.

SSC CPO 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The Staff Selection Commission establishes the qualifying requirements for the SSC CPO 2021 test (SSC). To apply for the test, applicants must meet the SSC CPO 2021 eligibility requirements. The following are the qualifying requirements in terms of nationality, college qualification.
Academic Qualifications:
The applicants must be a Graduate in any discipline from any recognised university in India as such by the Central Government.
Sub-Inspector in the Delhi Police Department: Male applicants must hold a valid driver’s licence.
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 25 as of January 1, 2022.
- Candidates from the reserved categories will have their age limit relaxed. The below are the age relaxations:

Note: Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions will be set in Hindi and English in Parts-I, II and III of Paper-I. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I & Paper-II. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

SSC CPO 2021 Syllabus
SSC CPO Previous Papers for the exam. For SSC CPO Paper-I and Paper-II, there are two MCQ checks. General Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension are the four main parts of SSC CPO 2021 Paper-I. And SSC CPO 2021 Paper-II only has one line, which is the English Language.
SSC CPO 2021 Syllabus for Paper-I
Paper-I of the SSC CPO is divided into four parts, which are as follows:
- Section A: English Comprehension: English Language, Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading Comprehension
- Section B: Quantitative Ability: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry
- Section C: General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogy, Numerical Series, Syllogism, Direction/Ranking, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Miscellaneous
- Section D: General awareness: Culture, Indian History, Geography, Environment, Economy, Political science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Space Science, Computer, Mobile, and Technology

SSC CPO 2021 Syllabus for Paper-II
Paper-II of the SSC CPO consists of one section, which is as follows:
- English Language: One-word Substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ passive voice of verbs, Conversion into the direct/ indirect narration, Shuffling of sentence parts, Error-spotting, Filling the blanks, Synonyms and Antonyms, Spelling check/ Detection of misspelt words, Idioms & Phrases, shuffling of sentences in a passage, Cloze test & Comprehension.
SSC CPO 2021 Exam Highlights
- The questions in both papers will be of the Objective Multiple Choice Kind, as stated in the SSC CPO Exam Pattern.
- Parts I, II, and III of Paper I will contain questions in Hindi and English.
- In Papers I and II, there will be a 0.25 point penalty for each incorrect answer.
- The SSC (Staff Service Commission) retains the right to change the exam pattern at any time.
- According to the SSC CPO Exam template, the Physical and Medical Exams will be held only after a satisfactory score in Paper I and II. This is done to ensure that the applicant is a better match for the position being asked for.
- The physical examination is used to assess the candidate’s basic physical structure, such as height, chest size, and so on.
- A medical exam is performed to validate such factors as fitness, vision, flat foot, knock knee, squint eyes, and so on to guarantee that the person is free of any deformities that may impair performance when performing duties.
