IMI New Delhi MBA Admission 2022: Selection Process, CAT Cut off, Eligibility Criteria, Fees details & Placements
International Management Institute, New Delhi, known as IMI, New Delhi, is a private business school located in New Delhi. This institute was established in the year 1981. It was India’s first corporate-sponsored business school. IMI was ranked 26th among management schools in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020, 13th by Business Today for India’s best B-schools of 2019, and 9th in India by Outlook India for the top 150 private MBA institutions of 2020. This institute offers a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) which is a flagship program at IMI New Delhi. IMI Delhi MBA Admission Process
The admission process in IMI Delhi for the PGDM program or any other MBA program is common. There will be two stages in the selection process. In the first stage, the candidates who applied for admission to the PGDM program will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance exams. IMI New Delhi accepts CAT, XAT and GMAT scores for the admission process. Let us have a look at more details about the entrance exams that are accepted at IMI New Delhi.
IMI Delhi Entrance Exam
As mentioned before, IMI Delhi accepts the CAT, XAT and GMAT scores for the admission process. The cut-off for each entrance exam is as follows.
IMI Delhi CAT cut off 2022
Admission to the program is through the Common Admission Test (CAT) – 2022 to be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, at different centres all over the country. The minimum CAT cutoff for the PGDM program at IMI Delhi admission process is 90 percentile. The sectional cutoff for the CAT exam is as shown below.

IMI Delhi XAT cut off 2022
Admission to the program is also through the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) – 2022, conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. XAT is conducted at all India-level to select the most appropriate students for management education. The minimum XAT cutoff for PGDM program admissions at IMI Delhi is 90 percentile.
IMI Delhi GMAT cut off 2022
Candidates with Foreign Nationality are also eligible based on their GMAT scores. Candidates will be required to provide a self-attested copy of the GMAT score sheet to the Admission Office for verification at the time of the personal interview. The minimum GMAT cutoff for the PGDM program at IMI Delhi is a score of 600.

IMI Delhi PGDM Selection Process
Candidates who apply online for admission into PGDM will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT, XAT or GMAT scores and academic records. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage(Individual Assessment) in the selection process, which includes Essay Writing, Personal Interview etc.
Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process, along with other parameters, like the quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities, include the parameters of the selection process.
The IMI New Delhi Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these parameters while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
Applicants should note that mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IMI New Delhi. IMI New Delhi will not entertain any correspondence on this subject, and decisions of the IMI New Delhi Admissions Committee will be final in all matters.
IMI Delhi MBA Eligibility Criteria
A bachelor’s or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education, from a recognized university in India or abroad (recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities).
Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement are liable to be rejected from the program.
IMI Delhi Fees And Placements (Average package, Highest & Median)
The tuition fees for an MBA (PGDM) two-year full-time program is around Rs. 19.25 Lakhs, including Rs. 15000 /- of security deposit which is refundable by obtaining clearance to all dues and damages to institute properties/assets.
PGDM Placements 2022
IMI Delhi has successfully completed its final placement season and witnessed 100% placement with a batch size of 243 students. The average package stood at Rs. 15.51 LPA in this final placement season, and the highest package stood at Rs. 32 LPA. The placement statistics for the PGDM program are as shown below.
