Head Constable:
10+2 pass from a recognized Board or Institution And Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution or Industrial Training Institute with three years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop or three years diploma in Automobile Engineering.
Constable:
10th class pass from a recognized Board AND Institution and Industrial Training Institute certificate in respective trade from a recognized institution (or) Three years experience in respective trade from a recognized firm

Exam Fee:
Candidates belonging to General(UR)/ OBC category applying should pay Rs. 100/. There is no exam fee for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Ex-servicemen.

Selection of the candidates going to done in two phases as below
- Physical Efficiency Test
- Written Exam
- Skill Test or Trade Test
- Medical
ITBP recruitment 2018 – Constable & Headconstable Physical Efficiency Test:
Only candidates who have received hall tickets for the Physical Efficiency Test should go through the Height bar, only candidates who qualified for the height bar test then they should go for the other events as given below
The events of the PET are as follows:
- 6 Kms Race To be completed within 7.30 minutes.
- Long Jump 11 Feet (03 Chances)
- High Jump 3½ Feet (03 Chances)

ITBP recruitment 2018 – Constable Headconstable Written Test Pattern:
All candidates who all have been shortlisted after the PET should undergo the written test. Pattern of the written test will be as follows as
