Eligibility Criteria for BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2018:
Nationality: Indian
Age Limit: As on 1st September 2017
27 Years for General and OBC candidates (candidates born before 1st September 1990, are not eligible)
29 years for candidates who have studied two years full-time Post Graduate in Engineering or Business Administration/ Management.
Relaxation for Reserved candidates will be in accordance with Government directives.

Academic Qualification:
Candidates must have passed a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology or Five years integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
Note for Final year students: Candidates must submit their Degree/Final year marks sheets by 1st June 2018, or at the time of Interview, whichever is earlier.
Application fee:
General/OBC: Rs 300/- through online only.
SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWD: No fees.

Selection Procedure for the BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2018:
The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the GATE scores and the performance of the candidates in the personal interview. Weightage given will be as follows.
GATE 2018 marks out of 100: 75% weight age
Interview: 25% weight age
Training/ Probation: Candidates will have to undergo training for one year after joining and thereafter will be absorbed as Engineers.
Pay Scale:
During training: Rs. 20, 600-46, 500/-
After training: Rs. 24, 900-50, 500/-
Service Agreement Bond:
Selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh only) that they will serve the Company (or any Government Department or Undertaking at the discretion of the Company) for a period of three years after completing their training successfully.
