National Hydro-Electric Power Corporation Recruitment 2021 has released a Notification for 173 Senior Medical Officer & Other NHPC, a premier Schedule – A, ‘Mini Ratna’ Company with 70.95% owned by Government of India is the biggest hydropower company in India and a leader in the design, construction and operation of hydropower plants. NHPC has so far commissioned 22 Hydro projects, 01 Wind Power Project & 01 Solar Power Project with an installed capacity of 7071.2 MW including projects developed in the joint venture.

NHPC Limited is an Indian government hydropower board under the ownership of the Ministry of Power, Government of India that was incorporated in the year 1975 with an authorised capital of ₹2000 million and with an objective to plan, promote and organise an integrated and efficient development of hydroelectric power in all aspects. Later on, NHPC expanded its objects to include other sources of energy like Solar, Geothermal, Tidal, Wind etc.

At present, NHPC is a Mini Ratna Category-I Enterprise of the Govt. of India with an authorised share capital of ₹150,000 Million. With an investment base of over ₹387,180 Million Approx., NHPC is among the top ten companies in the country in terms of investment. Baira Suil Power station in Salooni Tehsil of Chamba district was the first project undertaken by NHPC.

Marking	For every correct answer of MCQ, one mark shall be awarded. For every wrong answer attempted by the candidates, negative marking of marks (i.e. 0.25 marks) will be deducted. All the descriptive types of questions will have 10 marks each without any negative marking. No marks will be awarded/deducted for un-attempted questions.
