National Dairy Research Institute Recruitment 2021 has released a Notification for 12 Assistant Grade-ll & Other Posts. The National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), located in Karnal (Haryana) is a premier research organisation under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The Institute is engaged in providing R&D support for dairy development programmes of the nation and is a highly reputed university for human resource development in the field of dairying and allied sciences. Over the years, it has gained prominence as the front-ranking research organisation on a global basis. The Institute works in close liaison with various national and international developmental agencies. Scientific achievements, development of human resources at the multi-tier level and infusion of science in various sectors of the dairy industry have been the hallmarks of the Institute. The Institute catalyses close interaction among scientists, students, farmers and the dairy industry for orchestrating the dairy development process in a harmonious manner.
It was established in 1923 in Bangalore; the headquarters of the Institute was moved to its present location at Karnal in 1955. It has two regional stations, one at Bangalore and the other at Kalyani for providing region-specific support suited to their agro-climatic conditions. The Institute has three major areas of R & D activities viz. 1) Dairy Production 2) Dairy Processing 3) Dairy Extension and Management. All the R&D activities are managed through 13 Research Divisions/Sections. The Institute also has an Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC), Business Planning and Development (BPD) unit, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Dairy Training Centre and Artificial Breeding Research Centre. There are more than 1000 students enrolled in various disciplines for under-graduation, post-graduation and doctoral programmes.
