Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation (ALIMCO) an ISO 9001: 2008 Company, is a Central Public Sector unit, working under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. Incorporated in the year 1972, ALIMCO has been engaged in the manufacture and supply/distribution of Assistive Devices for Persons with Disabilities since 1976. It has so far provided assistive devices to about 42 lakh of PwDs across the length and breadth of the country. The product range of ALIMCO includes 35 categories of cost-effective and quality assistive devices having 360 variants approx. covering aids & appliances for orthopedically, visually, hearing & mentally impaired persons. During the past three years, the corporation has witnessed a quantum jump in turnover and registered a remarkable growth of 45%.
