Shri Piyush Goyal is the current president, and Shri Arun Kumar Jha is the Director-General of the National Productivity Council India.
National Productivity Council (NPC) is an autonomous body under DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce &Industry, GoI and promotes productivity consciousness in the country for sustainable socio-economic development by productivity promotion and dissemination through consultancy, research, and training activities in different sectors of the economy.
On the date, 12 February 1958 National Productivity Council was Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860. The registered office of the Society was located at “Utpadakta Bhavan” 5-6, Institutional Area, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110 003, in the National Capital Region of Delhi. NPC is a constituent of the Tokyo-based Asian Productivity Organization (APO), an Inter-Governmental Body, The Government of India is a founder member. The National Productivity Council has been accredited by the Quality Council of India’s National Accreditation Board for Certification Body to ISO 17020:2012.
