Admission criteria of MDI, Gurgaon<\/h1>\n

The Management Development Institute (MDI)<\/strong> has been consistently ranked as one of the top B-schools of India. Located in the NCR region, MDI has established itself as one of the top colleges in India for marketing. The CAT cut off for the college hovers around 96 percentile. The weightage for the CAT score in the final selection is close to 60%. Therefore, a good CAT score boosts the chances of getting selected for the MBA program at MDI. The application fee is usually Rs. 3000. In this article, we will look at the admission\/selection criteria at MDI, Gurgaon – as per the latest information available on the official website.<\/p>\n

The first step towards getting admission into the MDI is taking the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam. Every year over two lakh candidates appear for the CAT exam. The final selection<\/strong> at the MDI is based on the candidate’s CAT score, Application score and Personal Interview.<\/p>\n

CAT Eligibility Criteria: <\/strong>Students who have a recognized bachelor degree (or professional degree like CA, CS or ICWA) and have scored an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC\/ST and PWD students) are eligible to write the CAT. Even students in their final year of bachelor degree are eligible to write the CAT exam.<\/p>\n

The Selection process at MDI is divided into two stages<\/h2>\n

Stage 1<\/strong> \u2013 In the first stage, candidates are shortlisted for the interviews on the basis of their CAT score.<\/p>\n

Stage 2<\/strong> \u2013 The second stage is where the college selects based on the Personal Interview (PI). A Final Score is calculated for the final Selection. The score of each candidate is calculated (usually out of 100) based on certain parameters, and the final selection list will be made.<\/p>\n

Admission\/selection criteria at MDI<\/span><\/h3>\n

Admission <\/span>to <\/span>MDI <\/span>Gurgaon <\/span>PGP Programmes is carried out in <\/span>two stage<\/span>s<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Stage 1<\/span><\/h4>\n

In the stage 1, candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI).<\/p>\n

The <\/span>shortlisting <\/span>of candidates <\/span>for WAT<\/span>–<\/span>GD<\/span>–<\/span>PI is done on the <\/span>basis of <\/span>CAT<\/span> percentiles <\/span>including sectional<\/span> cut-offs<\/span>.<\/span> The minimum<\/span> CAT<\/span>cut<\/span>–<\/span>off <\/span>percentile is decided based on the <\/span>number <\/span>of candidates to be shortlisted<\/span>. The number of candidates to be shortlisted is decided as per <\/span>the admission policy<\/span> of MDI Gurgaon<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stage 2: Final selection<\/h4>\n

In stage 2, the final selection is made based on the candidate’s CAT score, Application score and Personal Interview (PI).<\/p>\n
