Last-minute tips for the TISSNET exam<\/h1>\n

Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISSNET) 2021 will be held on February 20. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will be conducting the TISSNET exam. The exam will be conducted from 2 pm to 3.40 pm<\/strong>, in 39 cities across India. In this post, we will provide some last minute tips for the candidates to crack the TISSNET exam.<\/span><\/p>\n

TISSNET is an MCQ based online exam with 100 questions. There is no negative marking in the exam.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Here is a list of some last-minute tips and tricks that will help you ace the exam:<\/span><\/p>\n

Revise essential concepts<\/strong><\/span>: With very few days left for the exam, candidates should ideally focus on the revision of concepts and going through mistakes done in mock tests. Mostly focus on your strong areas during revision.\u00a0<\/span>Do not spend time learning new concepts at this point. WIth very few days left for the exam, there’s no point in learning anything new as it might take more time to learn new topics, which is not recommended. Also, learning new concepts may lead to undue stress, which will not boost your confidence level.<\/span><\/p>\n

Verbal ability & Reading comprehension Section<\/span><\/u><\/strong>: Here, the topics include: Reading Comprehension, Antonyms\/Synonyms, Word analogies, Para jumbles, Error correction etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Try to spend 1-hour reading every day. It will help if you are well versed with the Reading Comprehension passages. Practice language ability questions based on grammar, and revise some essential rules of grammar, word analogies, vocabulary etc., in the last few days before the exam. <\/span>The Verbal section is comparatively easy, so one should definitely not miss out on this section.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mathematics and Logical Reasoning<\/span><\/u><\/strong>: Here, the topics include: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry & Mensuration, Venn Diagrams, Probability, Blood Relations, Arrangements, Coding-Decoding, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

One can easily score well in this section if one’s fundamentals are clear. Candidates should revise the important formulas thoroughly in these last few days before the exam.<\/span><\/p>\n

For logical reasoning based questions, the crucial step is to represent the data correctly. Practice puzzles from topics that come in the exam. During practice, time yourself and assess your progress.<\/span><\/p>\n

TISSNET most expected Logical reasoning questions<\/a><\/p>\n

General Awareness section<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>has the highest weightage in the TISSNET exam. Candidates who read the newspaper, current affairs regularly will perform well in this section. Usually, the questions are asked from static GK, so candidates should revise the details of important movements, inventions & discoveries, famous authors, India’s GDP, and knowing about countries, capitals, currencies, is also very important.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mock tests<\/strong><\/span>: Candidates can take a mock exam in these last few days, but it’s more important to analyse your previous mock tests. Go through your mistakes during the mocks and revise all the essential concepts, to finalise your strategy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
