There were 30 naya mixture in 97′ which will also work in 98′
\n,thus we have 50 new mixtures in 98′ . Now in 99′ 20% of 30
\ni.e. 6 are thrown in junk . So in 99′ we have 24 + 50 = 74
\nnaya mixtures of previous years. So naya mixture grinder
\npurchased in 99′ is 124-74 = 50. Hence option b.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0<\/b>Answer (B)<\/p>\n

Number of Naya mixer-grinders were disposed off by the end
\nof 1999 are 6 and at the end of 2000 are 10. So in total 16
\nnaya mixer disposed off.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0<\/b>Answer (D)<\/p>\n

Since 10 purana were disposed off in 1997, it means 50 new
\nhave been bought in 1995, which implies that 70 were
\nalready in use. The breakup of 70 purana cannot be
\ndetermined. So the number of purana disposed in 2000
\ncannot be calculated.<\/p>\n

4)<\/b>\u00a0Answer (A)<\/p>\n

Purana mixer-grinders were purchased in 1999 = 236 – 222 +Disposed in 1999
\n= 236-222 + 20%(Purana mixer-grinders were purchased in 1997)
