CAT 2020 Slot-2 Analysis:<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The second slot of CAT 2020 took place between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. According to inputs of students, the difficulty of the second slot was similar to 1st<\/sup> slot and the overall pattern is the same as 1st. The conduct of the test in three slots was nearly smooth and without glitches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Similar to the earlier slot, the test started with VARC followed by DILR which is followed by QA. One can\u2019t skip the section and should complete 40min in each section to proceed to the next section.<\/p>\n

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension:<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The VARC section in all three slots is similar to the majority of the RC\u2019s asking Inference type of questions. The overall difficulty is Moderate-Tough. There were two passages with 5 questions each and two passages with 4 questions each. Verbal is easier compared to RC, it has 3 Para Summary, 3 Para Jumbles, 2 odd sentences out type questions. A decent attempt would be 17-19 questions with 85% accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning:<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

DILR is surely the toughest section in all three slots and the difficulty level of slot 2 is slightly more than slot 1. So, one can expect a marginal increase in the score during normalisation. Like slot 1, there were a total of 24 questions in 5 sets with 6 questions each in two sets and 4 questions each in 3 sets.<\/p>\n

The overall difficulty of this section is more that of CAT 2019 and similar to 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
