Question 4:<\/h3>\n

A and B start a business with investments in the ratio 8:15. After 6 months, A invests half the sum he invested at the beginning again. In what ratio must A and B divide the profit by the end of 9 months?<\/p>\n

Let us assume that A invests Rs. 8 in the beginning and B invests in Rs. 15.
\nB\u2019s share = 15*9 = 135 parts.<\/p>\n

A\u2019s investment of Rs. 8 will be held for 9 months. A\u2019s second investment of Rs. 4 is held only for 3 months (from the end of the sixth month to the end of the ninth month).
\nA\u2019s share = 8*9 + 4*3 = 72+12 = 84.

In a school, there are 3 classes A, B and C. The numbers of students in these classes are in the ratio 1:2:3.The ratio of boys to girls in class A is 3:2, class B is 4:1and class C is 7:8. All the students appeared in an exam. The ratio of boys who appeared in the exam to the boys who passed is 6:5. If the ratio of students who passed the exam to those who failed is 2:1, what is the ratio of the number of girls who passed the exam to the number of boys who passed the exam?<\/p>\n

Let us assume that there are 300 students in the class for the ease of calculation.
\n=> Number of students in class A = 50
\nNumber of students in class B = 100
\nNumber of students in class C = 150
