When it comes to selecting candidates at IIM Visakhapatnam, they follow three main phases in their selection process.<\/p>\n

Phase 1: First Shortlist Of Candidates Based On CAT Scores<\/h3>\n

In the first stage of the selection process, candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT scores. The minimum section-wise and overall percentile scores are taken into consideration. Those who meet these criteria proceed to the next phase. The specific percentile cut-off scores for CAT are provided below.<\/p>\n

*These cut-offs are not for admission offers but only for the Phase 1 shortlist. The cut-offs for admission offers could be much higher.<\/p>\n

It’s important to note that all subsequent processing and selection steps are only applicable to candidates who are part of this initial shortlist. This means that the CAT score alone, considering candidates who have listed IIM Visakhapatnam as one of their preferences in the CAT application form, is used to determine the candidates who qualify for the first shortlist.<\/p>\n

Phase 2: First Shortlist Of Candidates Based On CAT Scores<\/h3>\n

Candidates who qualify at phase 1 will be asked to apply for admission to PGP 2023-25 of IIMV through the IIMV website. Phase-2 of the admission process takes into account candidates who have cleared Phase-1 and completed the detailed online application for admission to IIMV within the given timeframe. The Phase-2 shortlist is prepared based on six parameters: the candidates’ percentage scores in the 10th and 12th Board exams, final scores obtained in the bachelor’s degree and professional degrees (if any), work experience, and gender diversity.<\/p>\n

Phase 3: Final Selection Process<\/h3>\n

Once the personal interview process is finished for all the shortlisted candidates in phase 2, a composite score will be calculated based on their performance in the personal interview and other relevant parameters, including CAT scores, academic weightage, work experience, and diversity factors will be used to determine the composite score of the candidates.
