The first step in preparing for the CAT is to understand its exam pattern. The CAT is a computer-based exam that consists of three sections, namely Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR). Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks<\/strong>, and each wrong answer carries a penalty of -1 mark. <\/strong>Each section has a sectional time limit of 40 minutes, and candidates are not allowed to switch between the sections.<\/p>\n
