Let the present ages of mother and daughter be x and y respectively.<\/p>\n

$\\frac{y}{x} = \\frac{1}{7}$ => x = 7y<\/p>\n

$\\frac{y-4}{x-4} = \\frac{1}{19}$ => 19y – 76 = x – 4 => x = 19y – 72<\/p>\n

=> 7y = 19y – 72 => y = 6 and x = 42<\/p>\n

Age of mother 4 years from now = 42 + 4 = 46<\/p>\n

2) Answer (C)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let the ages of Aarzoo and Arnav be X and Y respectively.<\/p>\n

Hence, $\\frac{X}{Y}=\\frac{11}{13}$<\/p>\n

Similarly, $\\frac{X+7}{Y+7}=\\frac{20}{23}$<\/p>\n

Solving both the equations, we get $X=33$ and $Y=39$<\/p>\n

So, the difference in ages equals 6<\/p>\n

3) Answer (B)<\/strong><\/p>\n

$\\frac{a-12}{b-12} = \\frac{3}{4}$<\/p>\n

$\\frac{a}{c}$ = $\\frac{15}{4}$<\/p>\n

c = 10 => a = 37.5<\/p>\n

=> b = 46 years<\/p>\n

4) Answer (C)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let the present ages of daughter and mother be d and m respectively.
\n7d = m
\n19(d-4) = m-4
\n=> 19d – 76 = 7d – 4

\nMother’s age four years from now will be 42 + 4 = 46<\/p>\n

Let the present ages of A and B be x and y.
\n10 years ago, the ages of A and B were in the ratio of 13: 17 i.e $\\frac{x-10}{y-10}$ = $\\frac{13}{17}$

17 years from now the ratio of their ages will be 10: 11. i.e $\\frac{x+17}{y+17}$ = $\\frac{10}{11}$

Let the ages of Nishi and Vinnee be x and y.
\nNow, as per given conditions,

\nafter 9 years,
\n(x+9)\/(y+9) = 9\/8 i.e 8x-9y=9<\/p>\n

After solving we get x = 18 and y = 15.
\nDifferences in the ages = 18-15=3

Let’s say ages of A and B are 4x and 3x<\/p>\n

8 years from now their ages will be = 4x+8 and 3x+8<\/p>\n

Hence, $\\frac{4x+8}{3x+8} = \\frac{6}{5}$<\/p>\n

So x=4 and age of A = 16 and age of B = 12<\/p>\n

So when B will be 7 year old, A will be 11 year old<\/p>\n
