Important National Highways in India<\/h1>\n

In today’s scenario, national highways have been the backbone of the road network, connecting India’s northern, southern, eastern, and western regions. National Highways (NH) is a significant source of inter-state movements and transportation of passengers and goods.<\/p>\n

The National Highways connect national and state capitals, major ports, and rail junctions. National Highways cover a total distance of 132500 kilometres. National Highways were responsible for about 40% of traffic despite making up just 2% of the road network. The National highways play a very important role in the formation of a country’s infrastructure. There are several national highways in India. India’s Longest Highway: NH-44<\/h2>\n

NH 44 is India’s longest national highway. Previously known as National Highway 7, National Highway 44 (NH 44) is a state highway in the United States. The North-South Corridor of the NHDP is covered by NH 44, which is 3,745 kilometres long. It begins in the north with Srinagar and finishes in the south with Kanyakumari.<\/p>\n

Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu are among the 11 Indian states that this highway passes through.<\/p>\n

NH-44<\/span><\/strong>: It is India’s longest National Highway, connecting\u00a03,745 kilometres from Srinagar in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. This highway links 11 states and about 30 major cities. \u200b\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n

NH-27<\/span><\/strong>: The longest national highway in India, at 3,507 kilometres, connects the eastern and western parts of the country. It is also considered India’s financial pulses since it connects seven states and 47 cities.<\/span><\/p>\n
