Total workforce in all the sectors put together is 60 lakhs. Based on the data contained in the table, answer the question :

The difference in the number of female workforce in SA and MA sectors put together and the number of female workforce in PT sector is :

Solution

Total workforce = 60 lakhs

Female workforce in SA and MA = 2.7 + 7.2 = 9.9 lakhs

Female workforce in PT = 4.275 lakhs

Difference = 9.9 - 4.275 = 5.625 $$\approx\ $$ 5.6 lakhs

Answer is option C.
